Roommate Has Bike Collision

So the commute to work is going to be a little different from now on. I will probably still bike to work every day, but my roommate is back to taxiing. Awkward.

This morning on our way down Jinke Road (金科路) he collided with one of those bike carts, the three wheeled dealies that you always so piled six feet high with trash. I heard a tremendous clattering and turning around saw the other biker yelling something about being careful.

Luckily, my roomie was okay, but the bike not so much. They were already old, rusting, run down affairs on their last legs. But this last blow was just too much. The bars that run from the handlebars down to the front wheel were bent backwards so far that the wheel ended up stuck up against the frame of the bike, off center and only able to turn one way.

These were borrowed too, and so it's going to be a little buhaoyisi to explain.
