Doraemon, or Xiao Ding Dang (小叮当）or Ji Qi Mao (机器猫）in Chinese. The premise sounds mildly ridiculous at first. Okay fine, plainly ridiculous. A blue robotic cat from the future who is scared of mice travels back in time to help a bumbling fourth grader with his problems. Oh and by the way the cat has a "four-dimensional" magical pocket from which he can pull out any tools he needs. A beloved but barely remembered part of my childhood.
Anyways, I whipped up a little video with clips and pictures I found and the theme song (well the first half anyways).
